Despite claiming through her Facebook page that "Skirt" was #1 on the US Hot Dance/Club Charts, "Skirt" has been successful in dance clubs across the United States, given the fact that it is a promotional single from her upcoming 12th studio album.
Currently, the song is at #2 on Billboard's US Hot Dance/Club Chart and has peaked at #23 in the Billboard US Dance/Electronic Songs Chart.
If the song were to reach the top spot on the Hot Dance/Club chart, it would be her 10th #1 song, joining the ranks of "Timebomb", "Get Outta My Way" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head".
Earlier this year, "Skirt" reached the top spot as the most downloaded EP on Beatport.
